چکیده
Background– Periodontal disease, if not interfered, will headway further with attachment loss involving the bifurcation or trifurcation of multirooted teeth. Furcation involved molar teeth respond less favorably to conventional periodontal therapy alone resulting into tooth loss. Combining osseous grafting guided tissue regeneration membrane may enhance response treatment as compared graft – only by achieving mechanical stabilization and preventing micromovement bone material.

Aim & Objective To compare efficacy demineralized freeze-dried allograft in combination mandibular Grade II furcation defects.
Materials method - In this study a total number 20 patients sites (buccal grade involvement) were evaluated. They divided two groups: Control group (bone only) test + GTR). The clinical parameters assessed vertical probing depth, horizontal depth relative level.
Results statistical analyses comparing control at baseline revealed no significant differences between groups for any considered. At 6 month evaluation, difference was found regarding VPD, HPD rCAL.
Conclusion It concluded that there is enhanced effect using DFDBA GTR over

Background and Aims: Reconstruction of osseous defects is one of the ideal goals of periodontal treatments and dental implant therapy. Different biomaterials have been used for this purpose and many studies have tried to compare and introduce the best ones. متن کاملDemineralized Freeze-Dried Bovine Cortical Bone: Its Potential for Guided Bone Regeneration Membrane
BACKGROUND Bovine pericardium collagen membrane (BPCM) had been widely used in guided bone regeneration (GBR) whose manufacturing process usually required chemical cross-linking to prolong its biodegradation. However, cross-linking of collagen fibrils was associated with poorer tissue integration and delayed vascular invasion. OBJECTIVE This study evaluated the potential of bovine cortical bo...
متن کاملGuided tissue regeneration and platelet rich growth factor for the treatment of Grade II furcation defects: A randomized double-blinded clinical trial - A pilot study
Background The treatment of furcation area defects remained as a challenging issue in periodontal treatments. Regeneration treatment of furcation defects is the most discussed periodontal treatment. Although not completely hopeless in prognosis, the presence of the furcation involvement significantly increases the chance of tooth loss. The current research was conductedeto compare theeadditive ...
